Named after the charismatic former Texas Governor, this state-of-the-art middle school is designed to CHPS performance criteria (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) and has become an iconic modern structure for education in its surrounding urban setting. The project’s severely sloping site forced designers to implement unique design techniques in order to keep the facility under one roof.
