The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Innovation (STEI) Building is a new building that will be located within the existing Blinn College District Brenham campus in south-central Washington County, Texas, adjacent to/nearby the city of Brenham, Texas. The overall educational purpose of the STEI Building is to provide instructional spaces for each of the following disciplines: biology, chemistry, physics, geology/earth sciences, engineering and technology, innovation, nursing, and medical sciences (anatomy/physiology and microbiology). Instructional spaces will include lecture classrooms, laboratories, collaborative classrooms, maker spaces, innovation and technology classroom spaces, and conference/multipurpose spaces. The anticipated primary users of this facility will range from students seeking specific job-related training to students seeking degree plan course credits. In order to support these activities and programs, the current size of the building as designed is 73,500 square feet.
