The Welcome Center is the new “front door” to this campus. The building will serve as an anchor point and a connector between the existing Library and Academic Building. The location was carefully evaluated for connections within the campus and access from the surrounding roads. This building will house a “one-stop shop” type of functions for students services including Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Center, Registrar’s office, Counseling and Testing Center. The two “wings” of the building are connected by a bridge and Atrium that also serves as an event space. The building’s architectural style blends the surrounding stylistic elements with contemporary features. The vast east and west-facing facades will be treated with electro-chromatic glazing to avoid glare and save energy. The building is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2022.
