Through the careful selection of certain exterior building materials and location of various site amenities (i.e. open green spaces, sidewalks, outdoor collaboration areas), the branding of the site evolved naturally. The plan also addresses traffic flow, pedestrian circulation, parking, lighting, site identity, safety, security, and future growth while siting a new administrative office complex that works in unison with the corporate brand of this large petroleum corporation.
With the promotion of an employee-centered workplace, the prime corner location of both floors is relegated for community rooms, a dining facility, kitchen and lounge space with television viewing. Included in the design of the office space is a conference center (including nine conference rooms) and multipurpose training room with operable glass wall that expands into the reception lobby to allow for employee office meetings.
The AN4 scope includes the encapsulation of all interior surfaces with new paint and sealers. Construction of the open office space includes conference rooms, break rooms, cafeteria, satellite communications rooms (SCR), data center space, document control rooms, multi-purpose rooms and miscellaneous support spaces.
The infrastructure was altered by replacing existing chillers, providing new air handling units and associated control systems, air distribution system, installation of a new switch and UPS equipment, modification of existing fire protection system, life safety system, and the installation of new security, power/ telecom distribution systems. The scope also included the purchase and installation of power poles for owner provided Teknion modular furniture.
